My name
is Pamela Black and I am 44 years old. I have been married for
19 years and we are still in love with one another. My marriage
has survived pain and prison and today we are serving the true
and living God. I have been clean and sober for 11 years and
climbing.
I went
in and out my addiction for 20 years and I spent 15 years in
prison. I was doing life on an installment plan I spent more
time in prison then out with my family. This went on until I had
my last son chained to the bed in Valley State Prison in
Chowchilla. I got tired of having babies and not raising them
after all this was baby number six and my mom had gotten tired
of raising my kids. Having my last son while chained to the bed
was the worst but best thing that could have happened to me. My
life changed I went to treatment 11 years ago and have not
turned back since.
I work
for the same program that I went to 11 years ago, I am an
ordained minister and I have my own small business. I have had a
lot of adversity in life but I get to give back what was so
freely given to me and that is hope. I get to work for IMPACT
and reach the kids that were caught in the cross fire of the
life that they were born into. (Lord have mercy).
