GUY
MAURICE MCINTYRE

Guy
Maurice McIntyre (born February 17, 1961) is a former
professional American football offensive lineman in the National
Football League. He played in three Super Bowls and five Pro
Bowls as a member of the San Francisco 49ers.
Guy
McIntyre was one of the first linemen in the modern age of the
NFL to be used as a blocking back/fullback (in Bill Walsh's
"Elephant" short-yardage formation); interestingly, it was when
this offense was used in the 1984 NFL Playoffs in the defeat of
the Chicago Bears that motivated Bears coach Mike Ditka to use
the same formation the following year, with William Perry, the
"Refrigerator" as the blocking back.
Guy grew
up in the South, Thomasville Georgia, and came from a family of
three, him and two older sisters. Their parents instilled values
and integrity in each of them during their childhood through
religion and work ethics. By using these values and work ethics,
Guy has excelled in football and has become a very productive
citizen.
Guy is
currently the Director of Alumni Relationships of the San
Francisco 49ers and has made a number of speaking engagements at
High Schools, Touchdown Clubs, Churches, even Business
conventions. He has also been a Master of Ceremony at various
functions.
