ALBERT FEATHERSTONE

Albert Featherstone was released from the California Department of Correction, at San Quentin after serving a four-year sentence, on October 30 1987. He returned to the City of Richmond, and his church family at Faith Temple COGIC. In 1990, Albert Featherstone returned to San Quentin and starting during Cell-to-Cell ministry. As a result, of his ability to be faithful, available, and teachable, Chaplain Earl Smith allowed him the opportunity to teach a bible class on Thursday night, called the “Monthly Theme.” In addition, 1993-2005 he coordinates quarterly revivals, 1994-1996 held special services for the most violent offenders on 1st and 3rd Saturdays.

In January of 1994, Albert Featherstone was ordained an Elder in The Church of God In Christ. Albert Featherstone is married to the lovely Janice Featherstone, and they are members of McGlothen Temple Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Supt. John A. Jennings in Richmond California.

Albert has traveled as a platform speaker for the Bill Glass Ministries. He can be seen on local community channels interviewing or being interviewed; also, on Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN “Larry King Live,” as an Annalist during Criminal Court cases. There are many certificates of appreciation for his dedicated work in the field of prison ministries in 1997; he was presented with the Warden’s Recognition Award at San Quentin State Prison. In November of 2007, he was awarded a Certificate of Rehabilitation on the 16th and on the 18th; he was awarded the Dove award for being alcohol and drug free for over twenty years.

He holds two Certificates in Health and Human services, (1) Dual Diagnosis Screening, (2) Substance Abuse and Case Counseling. In addition, he is a Registered Addiction Specialist; in the State of California, and earned a Bachelor’s of Art Degree, in Humanities in 2005, from New College of California, located in San Francisco, California. In the spring of 2006, Elder Featherstone was inspired to pursue his education; he entered graduate school at Argosy University, to obtain a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology. Albert Featherstone is an IMPACT Facilitator and currently teaches Life Skills for Acts full Gospel Men’s Home “Men of Valor,” located In Oakland, CA.
