DOUGLAS A. PRATT

Douglas A. Pratt is the former Executive Vice President of Corporate Banking /Corporate Finance at Bank of America. His responsibilities, among others, included management of the global relationships with Entertainment, Media, Communications, Technology, Healthcare, Aerospace/Defense and Forest Product clients.

He has been involved with private projects over the past seven years. During his career, he has managed over $75 billion of advisory and capital raising transactions in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia (including China), Africa and Australia.

He and his wife Stephanie have been involved for over twenty years with the non-profit organization, Guideposts. Founded by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, Guideposts reaches over 40 million individuals with messages of hope and inspiration.

Pratt is on the Board of Trustees of Guideposts and serves as Chairman of the Guideposts National Advisory Cabinet, of which Stephanie is also a member. The Pratts co-originated a project to translate “The Power of Positive Thinking” (condensed edition) into Spanish for Guideposts’ Outreach Ministry.

Pratt is on the Board of Trustees of the California Mentor Foundation, a leading national mentoring organization. Together with its President, Dr. Andrew M. Mecca, and others, he is a co-founder of the LifePlan Institute being set up to serve youth across America.

The Pratts support Esperanza, the largest national Hispanic faith-based organization in America, and the National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast, which Esperanza sponsors.

The Pratts have sponsored a Pastors Fellowship through Guideposts for preaching seminars at Fuller Seminary.

The Pratt Family supports cancer and AIDS research at UCLA.

Doug and Stephanie were married, and their son Michael was baptized, by Dr. Lloyd J. Ogilvie, former Chaplain of the United States Senate. Stephanie served a two-term post-presidential internship for President Ronald Reagan in California. Doug and Stephanie have been Sunday School teachers together in their local church. The Pratt Family resides in Northern California.
